A complete pathway in rugby
At XV Rugby Murcia there is a place for every age and level: from the rugby schools, starting at age 5, to the veterans teams. Up to age 14, boys and girls play together, and after that everyone follows their own path in the men’s and women’s teams.
No experience is needed, and you do not need to have played a team sport before. Here you learn from scratch, with respect and teamwork. Use the guide and we will tell you where to start.
Which team is mine?
Inclusive & Rugby schools
The first contact with rugby: Rugby schools and U12 for boys and girls together, and the Inclusive team, open to everyone with no age limit.
Youth
From U14 to U18, plus the U17 women’s team: development and competition with specialised coaches.
U14
First steps in competition with progressive contact and lots of teamwork.
U16
Technical and tactical development with league games and tournaments all season.
U18
Transition category to senior rugby. Competition, advanced technique and physical work.
U17 women
Girls’ youth team for ages 15 to 17: learn, compete and build a team.
Senior
Men’s and women’s adult teams, and veterans: competition and rugby for life.
Senior men
Our men’s team plays in the Valencian First Regional league. Intensity, commitment and teamwork.
Senior women
Growing women’s rugby in the Valencian First Regional league. Come and try: no experience needed.
Veterans
Rugby for those who will not hang up their boots. Training and friendly matches.

Questions about our teams
Do I need experience to start?
No. Most of our players started from scratch. Every team works from the basics: running, passing and playing together.
What if my child is shy or has never played a team sport?
That is very common. In the youth section kids learn through play, in age groups and with coaches who look after every child’s integration.
Is there a women’s team?
Yes. We have a U17 women’s team (ages 15 to 17) and a senior women’s team (18+). Up to age 14, boys and girls play together in the Rugby schools, U12 and U14.
How do I know which team my child plays in?
It depends on their age. Use the guide on this page and, if you are unsure between two teams, we will help you when you talk to the club.
What do I need for the first session?
Comfortable sports clothes and the will to try. For the first session we lend you any kit you need.
